Marketplace Manager

Job Summary:

The Marketplace Manager at Outback Toys is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing and growing the company's presence across all third-party marketplace platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, eBay, Macy's, and Bloomingdales. The role drives marketplace strategy, performance, advertising, and process optimization, while providing leadership to the Marketplace Performance Analyst. The Marketplace Manager is accountable for delivering on sales goals, reporting on key performance metrics, and ensuring Outback Toys maintains a strong and consistent brand presence across marketplace platforms.

Primary Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead and drive strategy for all third-party marketplaces, ensuring alignment with overall company revenue and sales goals.
  • Track, analyze, and report weekly and monthly on key marketplace KPIs, including sales revenue, ROAS, SKU performance, inventory health, and ad effectiveness.
  • Supervise and lead the Marketplace Performance Analyst, delegating tasks and ensuring alignment with strategic priorities. 
  • Proactively identify sales opportunities and lead initiatives to improve product visibility, conversion, inventory turns, and margin health.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with strategic marketplace partners and third-party vendors.
  • Lead marketplace planning efforts around seasonal opportunities, product launches, and promotional campaigns.
  • Stay ahead of marketplace trends, competitor activity, and policy changes to protect and grow Outback Toys position on such marketplaces.
Specific Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead and present comprehensive sales and performance reports, including ad metrics, category growth, and competitive insights.
  • Ensure consistent execution of platform-specific best practices and listing requirements.
  • Work cross-functionally with purchasing, marketing, customer service, and fulfillment teams to ensure operational excellence.
  • Develop solutions for listing issues, suppressed SKUs, or compliance flags with urgency and precision.
  • Develop and oversee strategic advertising decisions in coordination with broader marketing goals. 
  • Mentor and develop the Marketplace Performance Analyst by providing clear objectives, feedback, and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction metrics and oversee brand sentiment across all platforms.
  • Create a collaborative, accountable, and growth-focused team culture.
  • Promote the interest of Outback Toys in a manner consistent with vision, mission, business philosophy, and Core Values.
Position Requirements:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience managing online marketplaces (Amazon, Walmart, eBay, etc.) with a strong track record of sales growth.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on levels.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience managing paid marketplace advertising with a focus on ROI and performance metrics.
  • Proficiency with marketplace tools such as Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Seller Center, and connector analytics platforms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Availability for occasional weekend work and extended hours during peak seasons.
  • Alignment with Outback Toys Core Values and long-term vision.
  • Ability to commute to Outback Toys in Lititz, PA 17543 (with ability to relocate before starting work, if necessary).

Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Operations Manager plays a pivotal leadership role in overseeing and optimizing post-sale operations. This individual is responsible for aligning people, processes, and systems with the company's strategic objectives to ensure a seamless, efficient, and scalable operational environment. Collaborating closely with senior leadership, warehouse leadership, and cross-functional departments, the Operations Manager drives performance, enhances customer experience, and fosters a high-performing, team-oriented culture.

Primary Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead and co-facilitate leadership meetings to ensure alignment on goals, challenges, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Create and manage post-sale operational budgets, driving resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Analyze customer feedback and internal data to enhance the post-sale customer experience.
  • Represent and promote the interest of Outback Toys in a manner consistent with its mission, vision, core values, and business philosophy.
Specific Position Responsibilities:

People Leadership

  • Champion a people-first culture by mentoring and developing team leaders and customer facing staff.
  • Partner with HR on talent acquisition, seasonal hiring, training, performance management, and staffing strategy.
  • Promote employee engagement and accountability while cultivating a culture of respect, inclusion, and continuous learning.

Process Optimization

  • Oversee and improve daily post-sale operational workflows, including order fulfillment, logistics, inventory control, and customer experience delivery.
  • Lead the development, documentation, and execution of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality across all operational activities.
  • Monitor KPIs and operational performance metrics; proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices to maintain a secure and efficient work environment.

System & Strategic Alignment

  • Oversee systems related to post-sale operations, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory platforms, and other digital tools.
  • Drive continuous improvement and system enhancements in collaboration with IT and vendor partners to support business scalability. 
  • Lead freight vendor management, including contract negotiations, performance reviews, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to shape and execute long-term operational strategies that align with company goals and customer expectations.
Requirements:
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate and lead in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and advance strategic goals.
  • Experience with warehouse operations, inventory systems (e.g. WMS), and vendor relationship management.
  • Increased hours during the Holiday Season with occasional Saturday work required.
